We are slowly working on the idea that Benjamin will be starting school in August. Big school. I may have to take the first day of school off-just because I will be a mess. I never cried when I took him to daycare or anything, but having him join me at the elementary school will be a whole new ball game. We have already started talking about school, certain behaviors we need to work on, and when he comes for speech-it really does help with training him. He already knows mostly everyone, is polite in the hall, walks the red line, and is pretty good.
Right now, our main focus is to work on the sensitivity issue. He cries at the blink of an eye. You can't cry at school-so, we have been working with him on this. Today we told him that it was a little late to have a book (we didn't get home until 9-he was with me at the Science Fair), and he started to cry.
He was looking at his place mat today, when he asked Chad about some dinosaurs on it. He was really into dinosaurs and even asked me to show him pictures on my computer! It turns out the Science Spectrum is showing a dinosaur movie at the Omniplex, so Chad is going to take Benjamin to it on Saturday! Perfect learning opportunity and it will be so much fun for him.
Bailey, well...she is Bailey. She is a "stomp er". As in she pounds her feet to the ground when she is mad and swings her arms around and mostly hits herself because she quickly realized we arent putting up with her mess. Her favorite place to spend time right now is the front mat by the front door (AKA time out). She keeps me young. :)
